SMS Notification Opt-In

EMA (Electronic Mental Health Application) uses SMS messaging only for account security and appointment-related notifications.

By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive SMS messages from EMA related to account security and appointment notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.

This page demonstrates the SMS opt-in workflow for carrier compliance review.

How SMS Consent Works

When You Provide Your Phone Number

Users provide their mobile phone number during EMA account creation or when accepting a clinician invitation. The phone number field appears on the account setup form with the disclosure shown above displayed directly adjacent to the field.

How Consent Is Recorded

Users must actively submit the form to complete account creation, which records SMS opt-in consent. No SMS messages are sent without this explicit consent action.

What Messages You Will Receive

  • Account security codes (e.g., two-factor authentication)
  • Appointment notifications and reminders

Message frequency varies based on account activity. No marketing or promotional messages are ever sent.

Your Control

  • STOP — Reply STOP to any message to opt out immediately
  • HELP — Reply HELP for assistance

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.
